Pastor ‘’Allan’’ Charles Allan Wilson (October 26th, 1949 – March 27, 2025)
‘’I am more alive than I have ever been’’ (D.L. Moody). …Passed away with his loving wife Diane and their boys by his side, on Thursday, March 27, 2025, at the St. Mary’s General Hospital, Kitchener, Pastor ‘’Allan’’ Charles Allan Wilson of Port Rowan at the age of 75. Born in Silverhill son of the late Fred Wilson and the late former Ella (Bridgeman) Wilson.
Throughout his life Allan was in the service of both many people and his Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. Allan was a dedicated Ambulance Attendant at the Langton Ambulance Service (1970-1974). His life of service next took him to the Tillsonburg Police Service where he was a dedicated Constable (1974-1980), Chesley Police Service (1980-1987), Ontario Provincial Police Services (Walkerton Detachment) (1987-2002), Real Estate Entrepreneur (1982-2005), Politician once ran for Ontario Party of Canada. But most of all what meant a great deal to Allan was his service to his Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, that he took most pride and devout dedication towards, beginning at the Chesley Community Church (2002- 2011), Langton Baptist Church and later the Simcoe Free Methodist Church on an intermittent basis until 2024.
Allan’s family was very important to him. He was a loving husband and best friend of 54 years to Diane (Williams) Wilson. Proud and loving father and father-in-law of his four sons and their families: Charles (Terry) and their children: Zak and Vikki; Glen Meyer; Christian (Heidi) and their children: Abbey, Brooklynn, Port Rowan; Matthew (Mandy) and their children: Maximus (Reanna) and Gabriel, Mercedes and Lily, Welland; and Michael (Sarah) and their children: Mark and Hannah, Belleville.
Allan is survived by: a sister Maxine (late Jim) Auld, a brother-in-law Don Hay (late sister Donna), a brother Ken (Mary) Wilson, a sister Judy Van Gulck (Bud) and a sister Shirley Wallace (Ken Schmidt). Also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends, neighbours, former colleagues, relatives will be welcomed by Diane and the family on Friday, April 4th, 2025 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church (519)842-8762, 18 Harvest Avenue, Tillsonburg. Funeral Service to Celebrate Allan’s Life will be conducted at the First Baptist Church, Tillsonburg on Saturday, April 5th, 2025 at 1:00 p.m by Pastor Alan Adams.
