HERMESTON, Neale – Passed away peacefully, after a brief illness on January 28, 2025, at the Brantford General Hospital in his 92nd year. Beloved husband of 52 years to Wilma Hermeston (formerly Nichols, nee Doy). Loving father of Jay Nichols (Joanne) and John Nichols (Elizabeth). Proud grandpa of Alex (Kalynn), Sydney (Patrick), Sarah (Matthew), Jordan (Sophia) and Kevin (Meghan). Cherished great grandpa of Halle. Neale will be missed by his sister Lorna, sisters-in-law June Hermeston (the late Wally) and Gert Hunks (the late Bob), his brother-in-law Fred Miller (the late Ruth, 2025), and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his six brothers, Francis, Jimmy, Bob, Tom, Billy and Wally, and his three sisters Lily, Edna and Alice. A heartfelt thank you to all of Neale’s friends and family for all their love and support, you all meant a great deal to him. Neale was a Jorneyman Lineman with the City of Brantford prior to his retirement. As per Neale’s request, cremation has taken place. All friends and family are welcome to attend a celebration of Neale’s life on Sunday, February 2, 2025, at the McCleister Funeral Home, 495 Park Rd. N. Brantford from 1-3 p.m. in the Hospitality Suite. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of your choice.
