Obituary of Nathan Nagle
It is with heavy hearts that the family of Nathan Gordon Nagle announce his passing on February 25, 2025 at the age of 70.
Born in Sus, NB on June 29, 1954; he was the son of the late Herbert and Mildred (McArthur) Nagle.
Nathan was a man that loved his family and God. If you saw him, he was most likely standing there talking to some one. He was well known for being « The Candyman » at McDonald’s and Tim Horton’s, even at the stores and church. He was always giving out Riesen’s or Werther’s.
He loved his daughters, but he may have loved his grandchildren more, he didn’t have to try hard entertaining his grandchildren laying in nanny and papa’s big comfy bed and watching movies was all they wanted to do, and they would never turn down a trip with them to JJ’s. But of course, Nathan would seize the moment and take them everywhere and they would always come back spoiled. Nathan also loved his great nieces and nephews. When he was feeling better and had a chance to play with the kids he would take it.
Nathan looked forward to his daily phone calls from his family members and his nightly cards with Amber, Crystal, Carolyn, Chris and Ina (sometimes his daughters got invited). He spoke about each of them often and always very highly.
Nathan loved to talk and had a definite way with words, if you were out with him you had to make sure you didn’t have any appointments and that you weren’t in a hurry because every trip to the store was at least an hour or two, because he stopped to talk to everyone. He also loved his church, and when he saw you – he would make sure not only did he tell you about it but invited you.
He will be deeply missed by all those he left his mark on.
He will live on in the hearts of his loving wife, Carolyn (Mallory); his daughters: Clorice Levesque and her husband Peter of Mt. Pisgah, April Allen and her husband TJ of Sus; Vanessa Parlee and her husband Doug of Millbrook and Sylvia Nagle and Steve Curtis of Newfoundland; his grandchildren: Kyla, Jack, Saxon, Brianna, Callie and Blake; his brother, Richard Nagle and his wife Ann of Miramichi; his sisters: Jennifer Nagle of Miramichi, Debbie Fenwick and her husband George of Smiths Creek and Crystal Henderson and her husband Bob of Sus Corner; his brother-in-law, Randy Mallory and his husband James Lee of Saskatchewan; his mother-in-law, Anne Mallory; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sus, (506-433-1176) from where a visitation will be held on Monday, March 3, 2025 from 2-4 and 6-8pm. A Celebration of Nathan’s life will be held from Wallace Community Chapel on Tuesday, March 4, 2025 at 11am with Drew Mallery officiating.
Donations to Living Memorial or a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family. Donations and personal condolences to the family may be made through www.wallacefuneralhome.com
