Parcourez la nécrologie de Mary Mosher 1939 2025 résidant dans la province Alberta pour le détail des funérailles
It is with deepest sorrow the family of Mary Mosher (nee Wiebe) announce her passing at St. Joseph’s Home – Carmel Hospice in Medicine Hat on Monday, April 21, 2025, at the age of 85 years. Mary was born in Saskatchewan to Peter and Tina Wiebe on August 10, 1939. She was the oldest of five children which included two younger sisters, Stella and Linda and two younger brothers, Reuben and Peter.
Mary was predeceased by her parents, Peter and Tina Wiebe, as well as her brother, Peter.
Mary spent her working years serving in restaurants in Saskatchewan, Alberta and British Columbia. She married Franklin Mosher and they spent their early years together in Bengough, Saskatchewan before moving to Medicine Hat and then subsequently to Vancouver Island, BC. The family always looked forward to their September road trips, when they would visit Frank’s brother, Ed and Ed’s family in Chetwynd, BC, Frank’s mother and two sisters and cousins in Medicine Hat, and Mary’s family in Saskatoon.
After her husband passed away in Campbell River, BC, Mary soon moved to Medicine Hat to be close to her friend/sister-in-law Ruth Mosher (her husband’s sister). Over the last few years, Mary and Ruth enjoyed many adventures together including travels to Montana and Calgary/Okotoks and to various places in southern Alberta – including the Cypress Hills on both the Saskatchewan and Alberta side; she loved the ‘hills’.
Mary loved dogs, camping adventures with Frank and friends and had a passion for jigsaw puzzles. In the last few years, she developed a love for bocci ball and so enjoyed the weekly tournaments with the ‘bocci ball ladies’ at the Veiner Center in Medicine Hat.
The Wiebe family is very grateful to Ruth for her tender care and unwavering support of Mary. When Mary’s health declined, Ruth was there to arrange and attend appointments and was by her side through hospital visits and most recently when she was moved to hospice.
The family is also grateful for the kind care Mary received at the respite facility at Chinook Village as well as at St. Joseph’s Hospice.
Mary will be fondly remembered for her sense of humour, her strong will and zest for fun, adventure and laughter. She will be truly missed – the world is a better place for her presence here on earth.
Mary will be silently remembered by family and friends without the proceedings of a formal funeral service. In lieu of flowers, donations in Mary’s name may be made directly to St. Joseph’s Home, 156 – 3rd Street N.E., Medicine Hat, AB, T1A 5M1.
