Peacefully surrounded by family at the Brantford General Hospital on Tuesday, January 28, 2025. Marvin Lankin, of Brantford, in his 93rd year. Beloved Husband of the late Norma (nee Samwell-2019). Loving Dad of Kathy & Jim Hewitt. Cherished Papa of Tanya (Martin), J.C. (Ashley), Lyndsay (Dave) and Great-papa of Jennalyn, Jordyn, Garret, Owen, Cole and Hannah. Also survived by his sister Hilda Addis. Predeceased by 2 sisters and 1 brother. Marvin will be sadly missed by his many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Marvin was born and raised in Hatchley, Ontario, the youngest of 5 children. The first half of his life was farming with his dad & brother Orville. He then went into Real Estate sales in 1970 for 29 years. Marvin & Norma were world travellers loving all kinds of travelling and camping. Another passion was wine making as he was an amateur wine maker, making wine with his nephew Darryl for 30 years.
Family and friends are welcome to the Keith Ovington Funeral Home, 134 King Street, Burford on Saturday March 1, 2025 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. followed by a service to be held in the chapel at 1:00 p.m. As expressions of sympathy, donations in Marvin’s memory may be made to New Durham Cemetery or a charity of your choice.
