Marjorie B. Richardson Obituary
Marjorie Bernice Richardson age 91, of Moncton, NB passed away at Maison Albert House Hospice on Jan 17, 2025. She was born on June 9,1933 near Coldwater, Ontario and moved with her husband Robert and young children to Upper Dorchester, NB in 1959. She lived her later years in Moncton.
Marge was a wonderful daughter, mother, grandmother, sister and friend to many. Her children feel blessed to be able to call her ‘Mom’ or ‘Grandma’. She gave with such a generous heart and loved each of them for who they are. Marge was a woman of great faith who lived a life of gratitude, loved her family and always made sure they knew it. She never missed an opportunity to tell each of them she loved them. She loved to bake cookies for her grandchildren and was known by many for her famous butter tarts. Marge was thankful for what she had, always thought of others and would regularly donate what she could to several charities. She had a great memory and was often referred to as the ‘family historian’.
Marge is survived by her children Valerie LeBlanc (Leonard), Brenda Richardson, Rocky (late Lisa) Debbie LeBlanc (late Glen) Sheri Duguay (Denis); son in law Ron Mills (late Karen); several grandchildren, great grandchildren, one great-great granddaughter; sisters Irene and June; brothers Terry, Dale, and Allen; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Robert Richardson, beloved daughter Karen Mills (Ron), son in law Glen who was like a son (Debbie), daughter in law Lisa (Rocky), partner Art Snowdon, partner Alphonse Savoie; parents Martha and Norval Laughlin; sisters Mary and Doreen; brothers Harold, Horace, Morde, Clyde and Cleve.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the staff at Fergusons Funeral Home. At Marge’s request, there will no visitation or funeral service. Her life will be celebrated at a time chosen by her family.
Marge’s family wishes to extend their gratitude to the medical team of the Moncton Hospital for their care and dedication. A special thank you goes out to Dr Aly and Dr Theriault. Very sincere appreciation goes out to the team at Maison Albert House Hospice who cared for Marge with so much warmth and compassion in her final days and who made her family feel so welcome and a part of their mother’s/grandmother’s journey.
