Obituary of Marion Louetta Ewasiuk
Marion Louetta Ewasiuk passed away on February 10th, 2025 in Vernon, BC at the age of 86 with her husband Jerry, and her daughter, Karen by her side.
Marion was born on April 21st, 1938 to Ed and Alice Thomas. She was born in Fort St. John and grew up just outside of town off the Alaska Highway.
Marion loved to entertain, organize, dance, and be the life of the party. There was no event she couldn’t get going, she loved a challenge!
Marion loved horses and rodeos, and she adored her horse Skip. They were quite the barrel racing team. Marion and her daughters went all over, competing in barrel racing and many other events. Through it all, she made many lifelong friends.
Marion also loved to work! She excelled at every place she worked and volunteered at! She was a big part of the North Peace Light Horse Association, and she organized and ran many events and dances. When she wasn’t working, She enjoyed golfing, bowling, and playing crib.
She ended her career as the top realtor in Canada for her division. This was one of her proudest achievements.
From there, Marion volunteered her time at many different organizations in Fort St. John, one of many being the Fort St. John Seniors Society.
Marion is survived by her husband Jerry Ewasiuk, her daughters, Shelley Gaddy and Karen (Jerry) Gaddy-Giesbrecht, her grandchildren, Travis (Caitlin) Bichel, Kelsey Bichel and Dustin Gaddy, her great-grandchildren, Karter Olson, Abigail Bichel, Madeline Bichel, Annabelle Bichel and Charlotte Bichel, Her nieces and nephews, Ed, Bonnie, Darla, Cameron, Dallas and Danny.
She was predeceased by her father Ed (1961), her mother Alice (2008), Charlie Thomas (1960), Teddie Thomas (1965), and step dad Martin Richards (2000).
