Obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Maria (Eduarda) Pavao. She passed peacefully through the night on Sunday, April 13, 2025 at the age of 84. Maria received such wonderful care from the entire staff at St. Joseph’s Villa, she was so happy to be living at the Villa in her beautiful suite.
Maria was a devoted wife to her wonderful husband, Manuel, for the past 63 years. She was a beloved mother and mother-in-law to Rita and Jorge Gaidola, Benny and Ivy Pavao and Mike and Katie Pavao. A cherished grandmother to Patrick (Jade), Sara(Matt) and Aria. Maria is survived by her siblings Eduardo and Ilda Alves, Nick and Maria Alves and Alzira and Frank Medeiros, along with many friends and family both in Canada and Portugal.
Maria will be deeply missed by her entire family however we take comfort in knowing that her pain has ended and she is now at peace.
Visitation will take place at FRISCOLANTI FUNERAL CHAPEL, 43 Barton Street East (near James), on Wednesday, April 16th, 2025 from 1pm-4pm and 5pm-8pm. A Funeral Service will be celebrated in the Friscolanti Funeral Chapel on Thursday, April 17, 2025 at 10 a.m., with entombment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Our Lady of Victory Mausoleum, in Burlington, ON.
