Obituary of Margaret Rose Record
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Margaret Rose (Sullivan) Record which occurred on Monday, March 10, 2025. Born in Saint John, NB on September 13, 1940, she was a daughter of the late Mark and Mary (Duggan) Sullivan.
Margaret leaves behind her dog, Ella; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews; as well as her sister-in-law, Gloria Moore. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Donald Record; sisters, Ann Vautour (John), Kay Clark, Doreen Mulholland; brothers, John Sullivan and Harold Sullivan; nephew, Mark Mulholland.
Margaret dedicated 35 years to teaching at Centennial School since its opening, spent over 50 years with the CWL in various roles, and volunteered for 20 years with the Food Bank and Holy Trinity Church Ministries, reflecting her commitment to education, community, and faith.
The family would like to extend a special thanks and appreciation to Dr. Natalie Graves and Gwen Smith for their compassionate care and support.
Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB, (506-634-7424). With visitation on Sunday, March 16, 2025, from 3:00 – 7:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held from The Cathedral on Monday, March 17, 2025, at 12:10 PM. Interment will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery. Donations in memory of Margaret may be made to The Cathedral or to the Saint John Food Basket.
