Margie was a truly remarkable woman whose life touched the community of Isle aux Morts in profound ways. She arrived as a dedicated teacher, shaping young minds with her knowledge and care. Later, she transitioned to the role of office clerk at Conner Brothers, serving both in Isle aux Morts and Black Duck Cove, demonstrating her versatility and commitment to the local businesses. Beyond her professional life, Margie was a pillar of the church, serving faithfully for ten years as a licensed lay reader and Eucharist assistant. Her devotion extended beyond the church walls, as she generously volunteered her time and energy to various organizations. A steadfast member of the ACWA, LOBA, and the 50 Plus group, she consistently stepped up to various roles, each one performed with her characteristic enthusiasm and dedication. Margie was, without a doubt, a woman who contributed tirelessly to her community, leaving an indelible mark through her teaching, her service, and her unwavering commitment to others.
