In Loving Memory of Elizabeth Lynn Main
March 16, 1961 – April 28, 2025
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Elizabeth Lynn Main (nee Suttell) on April 28, 2025, at the age of 64. Predeceased by her loving parents Ralph and Elizabeth Suttell. A beloved mother, Mimi, Sister, Aunt, Great Aunt and friend, Lynn brought light, laughter, and warmth to everyone lucky enough to know her.
Lynn was the devoted mother of Brad (Carolyn), Kelly (Caleb), and Jillian. The proud Mimi of her cherished granddaughter Rylynn, and step-grandmother to James, Ana, and John, Lynn treasured her time with all the kids in her life. Loving sister and friend to Lee (Carol). Lynn was a supportive wife to Greg for 25 years. Her love for her family was endless—she would do anything for those she cared about, and her generosity and spirit will remain a guiding force in their lives.
She spent 39 years working at RBC and 20 years at Hildreth’s Fruit Stand, where her friendly and funny nature and hardworking spirit were known and appreciated by coworkers and customers alike.
An avid gardener, Lynn enjoyed growing a variety of tomatoes and other vegetables. She took a lot of gardening advice from her Dad so she started growing a variety of flowers. She was a talented artist, and had a very creative eye. Lynn did a variety of paintings and pointillism, and was a talented drawer.
Lynn was known for her quick wit, infectious laugh, and a zest for life that inspired everyone around her. Her sense of humor brought joy in difficult times, and her resilience reminded us all of the strength that love and laughter can bring.
She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, creativity, and unwavering love. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
Visitation to take place at Merritt Funeral Home, Smithville, Friday May 9, 2025 from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. A funeral service will take place at Smithville United Church, 116 West Street, Saturday May 10, 2025 at 12:00 p.m.
A In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to McNally House Hospice or the Niagara Children’s Centre—two places that reflect the compassion and care Lynn lived by every day.
