A friend is someone who reaches for your hand and touches your heart and soul.
It is with heavy heart that I/we say goodbye to my dear friend Lynn (Red). Lyn passed at the Rosamond Unit in the Almonte hospital early in the morning of March Ist. Pain and strife all gone. Back into the arms of your much missed mom and dad.
Lynn was predeceased by her mother Janet Mary Moody Peacock (Aylmer) and her father Daniel Charles Peacock (Ottawa).
Lynn was a devoted mother and grandmother. I could always tell when I came home if she had seen or talk to them, she was always glowing. Lynn leaves behind two sons and one daughter and many grandchildren. Son – Micheal Joy (Melanie) and children, Sydney, Parker, Scarlett, Violet, Noah, Daughter, Rachel Joy, children, Charles and Riley, Son, Kyle Lowry (Liz) children, Hayden, Paelyn. Lynn also leaves behind her constant companions and guardians dogs, Bailey and Marley.
Lynn and I met in 2002 at Granite Ridge when we both worked there. We both had struggles as young mothers and became fast friends, always keeping in touch when we were not close in distance. Lynn called me Blondie and I called her Red. We always knew if we needed each other, we could reach out. In 2023 I spoke with Lynn as she was not well and later that year, she came to live with me, and we had fun walking the dogs and going for walks and drives as well as her favorite breakfast in the mornings. Lynn also had a wonderful green thumb. She loved flowers and plants. She also loved crafts and antiques. I appreciated that time we had and miss them.
I miss her but she is very much still here in my home through her pup Bailey and things she gave to me that where her treasures. I miss her smile and laughter as well as teasing me about my love for old music.
Lynn was a very warm, caring, loving, patient, person and would go out of her way for someone she loved and in some instances for a stranger. She was a giver and always forgave. She taught me a lot
Lynn had many struggles and didn’t let them keep her down including her battle with cancer. She fought hard right to the end.
Lynn and I would like to thank the nurses and Drs. on both Rosamond and Med Surg in Almonte Hospital. Special thanks to Dr. Milko and Lindsay Sabourin, Brenda, PSW with Bayshore home care. As well we thank Emily (hospice care worker) who was a rock for us both.
As per request Lynn asks for no service. In leu of flowers donations to the human society or Cancer Society appreciated
I wish you much love, peace and pain free end to your journey and I hope we see each other again someday.
Lots of Love and hugs, Corey. Til we meet again…
