Obituary of Lyndon Barry Fila
It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of Lyndon Barry Fila announce his passing which occurred on February 21st, 2025 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Lyndon was born on April 5th, 1964 in Minto, NB. He spent most of his life in the Fredericton area with his common-law/wife/partner-for-life of over 30 years, Juliana, and where he raised his three daughters; Melanie, Ami, and Lindsay. His children were a top priority to him and he always made sure they had the best he could provide.
Lyndon was an avid outdoorsman. He could often be found hunting, shooting, riding his Harley, or preparing for his next snowmobile trip. He loved upgrading his toys and always had his eye on next year’s new ride. Lyndon had a quick witted sense of humor that will be missed by all those who knew him. Above all, Lyndon had a kind heart. He was always willing to help anyone who needed it. His generosity was unmatched. He had a soft spot for all animals, particularly his dogs- or his “mutts” as he affectionately called them, Ollie and Oscar.
Lyndon will be greatly missed by his family and many friends, but notably by his three grand-daughters, Bailey, Zoe and Bennett, who he loved dearly. He was especially excited for the upcoming birth of his first grandson, which he would enthusiastically share the news of his first boy with any one who would listen.
Lyndon leaves behind his partner, Juliana Petrovics of Noonan, NB; three daughters, Melanie Hachey (Mathieu) of Memramcook, NB, Ami Brownlee (Jacob) of Grand Manan, NB, and Lindsay Fila (Brandon Ebbett) of Windsor, NB; grand-daughters, Bailey, Zoe and Bennett; parents John and Geraldine Fila of Noonan, NB, and brother John Fila of Noonan, NB. He will also be mourned by aunts, uncles and many cousins. He is predeceased by his in-laws, as well as many loving aunts and uncles.
Public visitation will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 at York Funeral Home (302 Brookside Drive) from 2-4PM and 6-8PM.
