Lucienne Lessard, a beacon of love, creativity, and faith, passed away peacefully on July 5, 2025, at the age of 96 in St. Albert, Alberta. Born on November 30, 1928, in Mallaig, Alberta, Lucienne’s life was a beautiful tapestry woven with family, art, and an unwavering devotion to those around her.
The cherished daughter of Edouard and Flora, Lucienne grew up on the nurturing farmlands of Alberta alongside her siblings. Her early years shaped a heart full of kindness, compassion, and joy – qualities that she would carry throughout her life.
Lucienne found her greatest fulfillment as a devoted mother. She is lovingly remembered by her children: Albert (Shelly), Raymond (Janice), Rachelle, Jocelyne (Ole), Normand, Andre (Maliwan), Brigitte, and Valerie (Greg). Her love lives on through her 20 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren, all of whom will forever hold her in their hearts.
Lucienne was predeceased by her parents; her beloved son, Laurent; her granddaughter, Renée; her sisters, Marie-Ange and Béatrice; and her brother, Adélard. She is survived by her dear sister Georgette (Doug), who continues to honour Lucienne’s memory and the enduring bonds of sisterhood.
Throughout her 96 years, Lucienne shared her gifts generously – whether through her art, her garden, her faith, or her gentle, ever-present kindness. Her life was a testament to love in action, and her legacy will continue to inspire all who knew her.
She will be deeply missed, always remembered, and forever cherished.

A Funeral Liturgy will be held on Tuesday, September 2, 2025 at 10:00 am in Connelly-McKinley St. Albert Funeral Home, 9 Muir Drive, with interment to follow in St. Albert Parish Cemetery, 7 St. Vital Ave, St. Albert.
