It is with profound sadness that I share the sudden passing of my beloved wife of 32 years, Lisa Foster. Lisa had just recently celebrated her 60th birthday with friends and family and she was looking so forward to the next chapter in our life together.
Lisa is survived by her brother Bruce (Bonnie), her brothers-in-law Stephen (late Dana) and Gregory (Christina). Lisa is predeceased by her own parents and survived by her in-laws Keith and Mary Foster. Lisa looked at Mary and Keith as Mom and Dad and they looked at Lisa as their own daughter. Lisa’s many nieces and nephews Jason, Shanda (Bobby), Devin, David, Robert (Erin), Casandra, Travis (Rowan), Jessica (Josh) Shawn were a constant source of immense joy and pride in Lisa’s Life. They were at the center of her universe. Lisa was so blessed to have had 9 great nieces and nephews. Brayton, Ocean, Blake, Russ, Jameson, Reid, Harleen, Jorgie and Jaclyn. All brought such immeasurable joy to Lisa’s life. Lisa will be profoundly missed by her extended Danish family, the multiple trips to Denmark along with Lisa hosting her family in Canada was a source of great joy and happiness.
Lisa and her brother Bruce were raised in Angus. Lisa started her first full time job at the old Royal Victoria Hospital in Barrie in 1985. It was there that I met my beloved wife Lisa, we went on to be married on February 15, 1992. Our life took us to Toronto where Lisa worked in the family owned chocolate and ice cream store in Queens Quay, several years later a second store opened, Lisa had truly found her passion and excelled at everything she put her mind to. Lisa’s desire to return to small town living was a constant. In 1999 the dream was realized when we moved to Alliston and bought the M&M store in town. Lisa embraced the community and jumped in with both feet. Her involvement with countless organizations, community groups, school groups, etc. knew no limits. There was not a local cause too big or too small that Lisa did not take to heart.
Lisa had a profound faith that kept her always grounded and humble, she was constantly looking to deepen that faith. It was a tremendous source of strength and comfort to Lisa over the years.
Lisa had devoted her life to supporting family and friendships. This extended to Jimmy and Sheila which she had such a wonderful love for. Lisa lived life to the fullest. Lisa had a contagious smile and a recognizable laugh that could not be mistaken, she had a heart as big as her smile and loved to care for everyone around her every detail was mentally noted and never forgotten. Lisa had a plan to love, protect, nurture and take care of everyone in her life. She touched the hearts of so many with her extraordinary kindness, caring and generosity and will be forever in our hearts.
Lisa you were so deeply loved and will be forever missed.
Lisa also had a deep love for animals, her dog Buddy was always by her side along with any other creature she could save or protect. Donations would be welcome to an animal shelter of your choice.
