It is with great sadness that the family of Linda Arleen Alinard,71, of Blue Rocks announce her passing on Saturday, February 15, 2025 peacefully at home in Blue Rocks.
Born in Lunenburg, she was the daughter of Marshall Kenneth Zinck and Arleen (Tanner) Zinck.
Linda worked for Payships Yachts (RPS Composites) Mahone Bay, back in the early 70’s for 5-10 years. Her position was a secretary, later then achieved accounts payable (payroll). She enjoyed her job at Payships Yachts and was very proud of what she accomplished. She would drive her father Marshall’s Chevrolet Nova standard transmission to work. Later her father gifted the Chevrolet Nova to Linda/Gary when they got married in 1975. Linda would come home with her clothes smelling like fiberglass, she was very dedicated. Linda enjoyed her experience with Payships Yachts. She would sometimes bring work home with her and Gary would help her when she got a little overwhelmed. Linda spoke highly of her working years and how much it meant to her.
Linda enjoyed her time with family and friends. She enjoyed her music (Kenny Roger’s) on her big stereo late at night so her neighbours could hear. Linda unconditionally loved her son and granddaughter and always made sure she knew where her little Eisie and Blainie were. The smile that went from ear to ear made her unique. Linda always enjoyed time spent with her fur babies (Boomie, Smokey, Pouchie, Muffin, Daisy, Duke, Ruby, Sooty and Gilly). During Linda’s pastime she enjoyed speaking with her friend Doris in the morning and at night. She also enjoyed the odd break open from time to time, prepping the puppies’ hot dogs and making sure they were always given a treat.
Linda is survived by son, Blaine Alinard, First Peninsula; granddaughter, Eisabella Alinard; former partner, Gary Alinard, many cousins, nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her father, Marshall; mother, Arleen; aunt’s, Rose, Violet, Kathleen; uncles, Leslie, Borden, Dana, Raymond, Darrell, David and Buddy.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Dana L.
