SINDEN, Larry Douglas – surrounded by his loving family at the Norfolk General Hospital, Simcoe on Thursday, March 6th, 2025 in his 83rd year. Beloved husband of Marie Sinden (nee Cookson) of Vittoria. Loving father of Mark Sinden (Laura) and Lori King (Mark), all of Vittoria. Cherished grandfather & great grandfather of Tyler Walker (Mckayla), children Roman & Lyla; Gregory King and Daniel King. Predeceased by his parents, the late Fred & Ellen Sinden; by his sister, the late Hazel Sullivan (late Art); and by his brothers, the late Bus (late Hilda), the late Alan (late Norma), the late Bill (late Bernice) and the late Harold (late Betty). Lovingly remembered by his sister-in-law Shirley Cookson (late Jim), sister-in-law Eileen Cassar, brother-in-law Bob Cookson (Bonnie) and by many nieces, nephews & extended family. Larry was known as a heavy equipment operator. From 1962-1984 he was employed by Cookson Construction. In 1984, Larry & Marie started their own earth moving business with their son Mark called L.D. Sinden Holdings Inc. At Larry’s request, a private family service will take place with burial at Vittoria Baptist Cemetery. The JASON SMITH FUNERAL CHAPEL, 689 Norfolk St. North Simcoe in care of arrangements. Those wishing to donate in memory of Larry are asked to consider the Canadian Cancer Society, the Arthritis Society or the Norfolk General Hospital Foundation. The family wish a special thanks to the staff of 3E & 4B at the NGH for your wonderful care & compassion provided to Larry during his stay.
