Kirk Beaton,
son, husband and dear friend, a vibrant soul and cherished member of
both the snowmobiling and stock car racing communities, tragically
passed away on January 14, 2025, at the age of 37, in a snowmobiling
accident. Born in Charlottetown, August 6, 1987.
An
avid rider and passionate racer, Kirk was a well known figure on the
snowmobile racing circuit, often found by the side of his father
Junior.
Kirk was more than just a
racer; he was a lover of life who could light up any room he entered
with his infectious laughter and magnetic personality. His sence of
Humor knew no bounds, and he had an incredible knack for making others
smile.
Above all, Kirk’s
love for his wife, Brittany, was paramount. Their bond was one of deep
connection and unwavering support, a partnership that Kirk valued
above all else. Kirk also had a deep affection for his two dogs, Kash
and Shamus, who were more than just pets to him-they were
family.
Survived by his wife Brittany
Quigley; parents Junior (Cathy) Beaton; son Jacob; siblings Tiffany,
Holly, Samantha, Jake, Dylan, Cory, Crystal, Taylor; mother-in-law
Susanne MacWilliams; father-in-law Mark Quigley; aunts, uncles,
cousins, nieces and nephews; Fur Baby’s Kash and Shamus.
Predeceased by grandparents Curtis and Anita Beaton.
Kirk had always expressed his desire to rest beside
his grandfather, and where there was simply no space for a traditional
burial we opted to cremate and lay his ashes to rest with a figure who
had shaped his life so profoundly.
The family would
like to extend their deepest gratitude to those who aided in the
search for Kirk. Your support and efforts brought comfort during a
difficult time, and your compassion will always be remembered.
Kirk will be remembered for his love of racing, his
warmth, laughter, and love he spread wherever he went. He will be
deeply missed by all who knew him.
Resting at
Ferguson Logan Montague Funeral Home with visiting on Saturday,
January 18, 2025 from 4 to 7 pm. Funeral Service to be held in the
Funeral Home Chapel on Sunday, January 19, 2025 at 12 noon. Interment
to take place in Midgell Cemetery.
