Parcourez la nécrologie de Kenny Norton 1963 2025 résidant dans la province Nouveau-Brunswick pour le détail des funérailles
According to Ken, everything happens on Thursday, therefore,
some may find it fitting that our beloved Kenny left us on Thursday,
June 5th, 2025. (after a hard-fought battle
with cancer).
Born in St. John’s Newfoundland, he embodied the
true spirit of a Newf; his sense of humour and his warm and caring
spirit.
He was a member of the grad class of 1982 from Riverview High
School. He graduated with honours in mischief-making, rabble rousing,
and he was the chief hooligan.
Ken was a true Norton; he was stubborn as hell, sometimes a
man of few words and liked a rum and coke. He never shied away from
adventure, whether it was making forts in the woods in his younger
days, camping with his buddies, or impromptu road
trips.
Kenny loved to entertain many with his colorful accounts
describing his experiences traveling to all-inclusive resorts, his
work travels, and concerts that he attended.
Kenny’s passion for music contributed to many
evenings with friends spent at Mooks Bar. Kenny held the title as CEO
and head bartender at Mooks where the music blared, the drinks flowed
freely, and the laughs were ongoing. Ken was an exceptional host,
welcoming guests and making his friends feel at home. Mooks was also
the location for numerous washer toss games, BBQs and sitting around
the firepit.
Until recently, Ken was the consummate bachelor, when he
finally met someone he liked better than himself. Linda became
Ken’s best friend, his partner in crime and the love of his
life. They were two peas in a pod. They even shared a love for The
Boston Bruins.
Kenny’s « kids » were his 4 nephews, Kenny
Jr and Sam Norton as well as Alex and Kyle MacLaughlan. He loved
spending time with these 4 boys, along with his brother Craig and Ian
camping and loving life at the unforgettable « Brother’s
Weekend » and « Guy’s weekend ».
Kenny had a large squad of friends over the years, and he
enjoyed every moment spent with these derelicts. Many memories were
made and there was much laughter and shenanigans,
Ken is survived by Linda Richard, his best friend and spouse,
his sister Liz (Ian) MacLaughlan, sister-in-law Sherrill Norton and
his 4 nephews: Kenny Jr, Sam, Alex and Kyle.
He is predeceased by his father Don Norton, his mother
Kathryn Norton and his beloved brother Craig Norton.
Family and friends are welcome to please join us Friday, June
20, 2025 @ 7pm at The Riverview
Lion’s Club to share some laughs and stories.
Kenny would have wanted smiles, not sorrow. In lieu
of flowers, please enjoy your favorite beverage and remember the good
times.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Cobb’s Funeral
Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Rd, Riverview
(869-2007).
