Parcourez la nécrologie de Kenneth William Anderson Thursday July 24th 2025 résidant dans la province Saskatchewan pour le détail des funérailles
Ken, known to many as Hawk was born Saturday, June 23, 1956 at City Hospital, Saskatoon, Saskatchewan to Bob and Jean (Vankoughnett) Anderson. Ken a proud west-sider, attended Henry Kelsey and Mount Royal Collegiate schools. He was a 70’s child with the long hair, wide legged jeans and a love with anything with a motor, car, snowmobile or motorcycle! Kens leisure activities included broomball, fishing and having as much fun as he could playing cards and pool with friends and partying the night away. He loved his music and played loud.
Ken’s work life included many years at Starlite Bottlers, a stint with the City of Saskatoon Parks Department, Dairy Producers and later doing seasonal work for the RM of Ponass Lake, among other things.
Ken met Karen Reed in 1987 when she took an office temp job at Starlite Bottlers. After six years of togetherness, they married in Saskatoon on September 2, 1993. Being a sentimental softie where his parents where concerned, Ken chose their wedding date as it was also the day his parents married in 1952.
In 2001, Ken and Karen moved to her hometown, the Village of Archerwill in NE Saskatchewan, so he could “Try it” for a year. Time flew by with Ken rarely returning to the city.
His health declined in the last few years leading to his passing on Thursday, July 24, 2025 at St. Paul’s Hospital, Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.
Ken was predeceased by his beloved parents Bob and Jean, his in-laws Bob and Helen (Makarow) Reed, brother-in-law Bill Grudecki, honorary Mom and Pop Percy and Kay Gill and good buddy Jerry “Crash” Bereza who went ahead in April.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving and devoted wife of thirty-one years Karen, known to Ken as Wardy; his siblings Dwain, Larry, Bobbi-Jo and their families; Karen’s family Roberta (Greg and Judy), Robert; and many friends met through work and play.
Per Ken’s wishes, no service will be held.
The care of Ken after passing has been entrusted to Barron’s Funeral Chapel and Crematorium in Tisdale, Saskatchewan. Karen wishes to thank Candice and Cailen for their kindness and professionalism. Thank you to the medical professionals who cared for Ken along the journey beginning with the Rose Valley EMTs, Tisdale Hospital Staff, STARS Ambulance and finally St. Paul’s Hospital Staff. Also, to family and friends who have expressed condolences and support. Thank you to Ken’s dear friend Randy Coleman of Saskatoon who was able to be with Karen and Roberta when Ken passed and who along with his wife Mary gave them a loving place to be at the end of a sad day. A very special Thank you to Roberta; a sister is a special gift to be cherished forever.
