Obituary
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved mother Flora D’Souza, who passed away peacefully surrounded by family at the age of 97, on Friday March 14th, 2025. Born in Nairobi, Kenya on December 15th, 1927, she travelled back to her village in Bastora, Goa to finish her schooling. She returned to Dar-es-salaam, East Africa in 1947 to get married and worked at the East African Harbours Commission before retiring back in Goa. She immigrated to Toronto, Canada in 1977 along with her husband Reggie and two younger children.
Flora will be remembered for her devotion to her family. She is predeceased by her loving husband, Reggie, her dear parents Augustin and Libania D’Souza and her brother Anaclet. She was the sister of Felice (late Francis) and proud mother to Natty (Ivor), Violet (late Edward), Brian (Pearl) and Charlotte (late Neville). She leaves behind eleven grandchildren Joshua (Shelly), Kevin (Maria), Conrad, Ian (Rosa), Julia, Allison, Mark, Aaron, Anastasia, Rachel and Rebecca and eleven great grandchildren Liam, Sage, Tristan, Jasmine, Calvin, Kasiah, Kiarah, Kaiah, Kaiius, Jordan and Laila.
Although our loving mother has left this world, her love and kindness continue to guide and inspire us for years to come. She was the matriarch of the family, and she will be deeply missed but never forgotten. Her life was deeply rooted in her abiding Catholic faith, which shaped her principles and guided her every action. Rest in peace Mum.

Dear Natty,
Please accept my condolences and grief at the passing away of Flora Judith as she will be missed in this earth but remembered in Life Eternal! She has left memories but the greatest is in her union with Almighty God where there is no more sorrow, pain and sadness but joy and eternal happiness as she awaits God’s final Word at the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass offered daily for her in God’s Love and Mercy!
May that Blessing extend to all members of the living family
Eternal Rest Grant unto her, O Lord
And let Perpetual Light and the Peace of Christ shine on her. Amen
May her soul and the souls of the faithful departed Rest in the Eternal Peace of Christ!
Amen

To the D’Souza family,
Our deepest sympathies on the passing of Flora who inspired us all. She aged with zest and grace and always amazed us in remembering our names, asking about our girls, wearing lovely dresses and outfits that suited her perfectly and most of all her expertise in line dancing.
May Flora rest in peace.

Dear Natty(Ivor), Violet, Brian(Pearl) & Charlotte
It is with great sadness that I read of Judith Flora’s passing away. We knew her at Westend Seniors Club & when we met we talked and joked a lot! Flora always looked young & she was young at heart as well, she dressed elegantly & had a certain smile. I always told her she didn’t look like the Mother of Violet & Natty & Charlotte but looked like their sister. She was a good person inside & out. May her beautiful soul rest in peace& May Jesus & Mother Mary give you all strength to bear this irreplaceable loss of a Mother & Grandma.
You all are in our thoughts & prayers.
