Curran, John
Surrounded by love, John passed away peacefully on December 21st, 2024, at Charlotte County Hospital, nine days after his 70th Birthday. He was predeceased by his sisters Maureen and Darlene, his mother Pauline and his dear friend James.
John moved to Little Acre in November 1994 thanks to Sherry Hastey who took the opportunity, when it arose, to bring her friend to live there. And it is thanks to his friends & family of Little Acre that despite many health issues where he enjoyed 30 years of a wonderful life. You couldn’t help but smile in John’s presence, for his love of laughter and the little twinkle in his eye. Happiness in life for John was music, gospel and classic country which he loved to sing and dance to. He really enjoyed spending time outside, going for walks, and drives with his friends. Not forgetting how much he enjoyed his Sandy Hanson, who took care of his feet while they sang a song. When asked what he would like to eat, he might say Darlene’s corn chowder but to him there was nothing nicer than a good butterscotch sundae!
There are too many to acknowledge, but thanks go to all that helped and supported John over the years live his best life. We would like to particularly acknowledge those who supported his unspoken choice to leave this world for the country roads of the great beyond and make it such a gentle moment in time. Heartfelt thanks to our own Brianna Seeley, the nursing team and doctors of CCH and the Extra Mural Program.
John was deeply loved by all who knew him and will be missed and remembered forever.
Cremation has taken place, no visitation or service will be held at this time, burial of ashes to take place at a later date.
