John’s Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of John Melvin Hamilton of Mapledale, NB on February 9, 2025 at the Upper River Valley Hospital in his 94th year.
John was a devoted father to his daughter Linda Hamilton, and was predeceased by his beloved wife Audrey, and his son Michael.
He was a cherished grandfather to Jeffrey (Sara), Julie (Trevor), and Jennifer (Raki), and also a proud great-grandfather to six great grand children. He was also fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews.
John is also survived by his sister Greta Jackson, and brother Wallace (Marg) Hamilton.
He was predeceased by his sisters, Margaret, Marie, Mary, and Judy and his brothers Lewis Burton, and Arthur as well as his parents James and Grace (Hayes) Hamilton.
John had a deep love for the outdoors and nature. He enjoyed hunting, riding the trails in his side by side, and spending time camping, sitting around the campfire. He found great joy playing his guitar and listening to old country classics.
John also loved tinkering in the garage, keeping himself busy with many projects.
John will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but will never be forgotten.
His daughter Linda would like to express her heartfelt gratitude to the nurses and Doctors at the Upper River Valley Hospital for their exceptional care and kindness they provided for her father.
R.I.P. Dad. Thanks for all you have done.
