John Delwyn Atyeo Obituary
On February 27, 2025, John D. Atyeo, at the age of 77, passed away suddenly at Kingston Health Science Centre (KHSC).
Born in Mansonville, QC, John and his young family moved to Kingston in 1977, where he began a 30-year career with W.R. McRae Company Limited.
Beloved husband of Christina (a.k.a. Chris); father of James (Alicia), John (Christine Power); grandfather of Solomon and Mary; brother of Edward (Laura), brother-in-law of Barbara Gross (Sheldon Novak d. 2023); uncle of Sue Gross, Trisha Pittman (Chris), Kirk Street, Glenn (Nicole) and Brandon (Dominique).
Lover of all things cars, his little red (‘78) corvette, and a proud fan of the Montréal Canadiens, John will be missed by many incredible friends and neighbours.
The family extends heartfelt appreciation to the Amherstview Fire Hall first responders, ambulance paramedics, and staff at KHSC Emergency Department.
Celebration of life to be scheduled at a later date (announcement to follow closer to the date).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Kingston Humane Society, or University Hospitals Kingston Foundation
