Obituary of Joe Marath
Marath, Jozsef “Joe” of St. Thomas passed away at St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital on Thursday, May 1, 2025 in his 82nd year. Husband of Isabel(Greig) Marath. Dear father of Christa Gregor of St. Thomas and Stefan(Nicole) Marath of Tillsonburg. Loving grandfather of Luke and Claire Gregor. Brother of Ann(Steve) Greer of St. Thomas. Uncle to Jeff(Rachel) Greer and Anne(Paul) Rendall. He will be missed by his cousin Joe(Susan) Jakob. Predeceased by his brother Antal Marath. Born in Pari, Hungary on July 20, 1943, son of the late Anton(1980) and Anna(Freisinger) Marath(2017). Joe started his career with Ford Motor Company of Canada, working in both Windsor and Talbotville. He took great pride in completing a task, as well as his home. Visitation will be held at the H. A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on Monday from 5-8:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, May 6, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. Interment, Queen of Peace Cemetery.
