Joe Thomas Carter-Owl born April 19th, 1973
Joe started his spirit journey February 24th 2025, resting peacefully at home in Sagamok Anishnawbek, Ontario with his family by his side.
Missing him dearly, his wife Paulette Carter-Owl, Mother Rosemary Leaym, Father Jamie Leaym of Newell, Iowa, his children Tristan Joel Carter/Sydney Carter
Brett Sargent, Andrew Carter (predeceased), Aaron Owl , Ryan Owl , Julien Kiernan , William Owl and his favourite beloved brat, his Goddaughter, Emma Owl.
Although Joe did not get to see his siblings due to the distance of residences, he spoke with fond memories of Francis (Scott), Josh, Jeremy, John, Joanne, Annie and Rosemary.
Joe will be missed by many as he always tried to help and be a positive role model where he could in his community. He was an uncle to many beloved neices and nephews, through extended family, being a foster parent, including volunteering and chaperoning for the school which he loved being a part of.
When Joe was not helping take care of his home and gaming, he enjoyed the camp life which always included bringing « all » the kids young and old.
He really liked to go ice fishing/fishing/hunting and just hanging out with his brother in law and best friend, Jimmy, who always made every outting (Absolute)ly memorable. Paulette is so thankful that Kelly always made all attempts to keep these 2 big kids safe during their adventures.
