James ‘Jamie’ William Hingston, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by the love of his family after a courageous battle with ALS on Wednesday, January 8, 2025, age of 45.
Jamie will be tremendously missed by his loving wife and best friend, Rebecca Helliwell. Jamie was a proud and beloved father of Emma, Mela, and Chase. Jamie was the son of David & Dale (nee Taylor) Hingston and grandson to Anne Testori. Jamie will be sadly missed and remembered by his sister-in-law Samantha Hannah, brother-in-law Joe Cormier, and by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Predeceased by his grandparents William Hingston, and Bill & Marion (nee Showell) Taylor, and his uncles Mark and Greg.
Jamie had a zest for life and could always be found helping friends or family members. He enjoyed the little things in life like working in his shop, helping his son with projects, and teaching his children new things. He had a witty sense of humor right until the end, which will be missed by all.
Visitation at the Eagleson Funeral Home, Southampton on Sunday, January 12, 2025, from 1-4 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at St. Paul’s Anglican Church, 248 High St., Southampton on Monday, January 13, 2025, at 11 a.m. A time of fellowship and refreshments will follow in the church hall.
