Wallace, J.E. Lynne (nee Walker)
Passed away after a brief illness on Thursday February 13, 2025 at the General & Marine Hospital, Collingwood at the age of 72. Lynne of Stayner, beloved wife of the late Ken (2014). Loving mother of Jennifer (Mark Eason) and Heather (Branden Sheppard). Cherished grandmother of Addison and Matthew. Lynne is survived by her sisters-in law Rosemary and Joan, with whom she formed the Three Amigos. She will also be missed by her “adopted daughter” Tammy (Ben Dewhurst) and their children Liv and Dean. She was predeceased by her siblings Robert, Ruth and Ross. Lynne was a kind woman who was filled with joyfulness. Her love for family and friends was endless, she always had a bit more to give. She was her family’s champion and their most devoted cheerleader. She enjoyed reading and music fulfilled her, whether singing or playing the piano. She was committed to her community as a long-time leader with the Sparks and as an Elder and Vacation Bible School leader with Jubilee Presbyterian Church. Her light has diminished but she is still encouraging everyone to “make good choices”. Friends will be received by her family at the Carruthers & Davidson Funeral Home – Stayner Chapel, 7313 Highway 26, Stayner on Saturday February 22, 2025 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. A private funeral will be held with interment at Stayner Union Cemetery. If desired, a donation to Autism Ontario or to her grandchildren’s schools for programming assistance – Clearview Meadows or Stayner Collegiate Institute.
