It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we say goodbye to Norman Nowlan. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and loyal friend. He passed away peacefully, on Tuesday, March 11, 2025 at the age of 85, at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont Hospital University Hospital Centre in Moncton, NB.
Norman was born and raised in Bouctouche and was the son of the late Arthur Nowlan and the late Lina (Maillet) Nowlan of Bouctouche.
Norman is survived by his loving wife: Claire; two sons: Mark (Teri) and Yvon both from Florida and one stepson: John Cormier (Aline) from Moncton. He is also survived by one brother: Paul (Teri) and two sisters: Emilie (Joffre) and Aurelda all from Moncton; many grandchildren, cousins, nieces and nephews. Norman will be dearly missed by his many close and cherished friends, especially Steve LeBlanc and Robert Roy who were both so important to Norman.
He was predeceased by his parents Arthur and Lina; his stepmother: Marie and five siblings: Ronald Jr., Robert, Ronald, Rosella, and Phyllis.
Norman was a sensitive, loving, and caring person with a strong faith in God and he always had his Virgin Mary statue nearby. He was a jack-of-all-trades and could build and fix just about anything. His career was as an automotive body-man and entrepreneur. He was a perfectionist and loved to keep his home, garage, yard, tools, and car in immaculate condition.
Norman’s family wish to extend special thanks to the staff at Manoir Notre-Dame and the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre for their exceptional care and compassion.
A Funeral Service will take place on Tuesday, March 18, 2025, at Passage-Maillet, 29 rue de l’Église, Bouctouche, at 2pm. A family and friends gathering will take place immediately following the Funeral Service.
