Cap-Pelé, NB – It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Léonie Boleyn, 89, on Tuesday, January 28th, 2025, at the Castel des Flots Bleus, Cap-Pelé, NB.
Born in Saint-André-LeBlanc, NB, she was the daughter of the late Napoléon and the late Elizabeth (LeBlanc) Goguen.
Prior to her retirement, she had worked for Landry / Landry Lobster Shop.
She is survived by her sons: Perry (Julia) and Giles (Mona), both of Saint-André-LeBlanc and Bobby (Pauline) of Quebec; by her grandchildren: Alisha, Erica, Aaron, Vickie, Patrick, Bobbie and Terri; by her great grandchildren: Nathan, Jayden, Loukia, Kendrick and Kayce; by her sister, Eleonore Leger (late Adrice) of Shediac; by her brother, Léonce Goguen (Leona) of Cap-Pelé, as well as many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Michael Boleyn (1977); by her daughter, Debbie; by her grandson, Michael; by her sisters: Yvonne, Anita and Anna and by her brothers: Adrice, Albert, Arthur and Alphonse.
Visitation will be held from Ste-Thérèse-d’Avila RC Church Slumber Room, Cap-Pelé, on Monday, February 3rd, 2025, from 9 am to 10:20 am, followed by the funeral in the church at 10:30 am.
Interment in the Parish Cemetery in the Spring of 2025.
In Léonie’s memory, a donation can be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
