It is with great sadness the family announce the passing of
Glenn E. Kinney surrounded by his family, at the Charlotte County
Hospital St Stephen, NB on Tuesday February 11, 2025.
Glenn is the youngest son of the late Granville and Myrtle
(Johnson) Kinney of Rollingdam, NB.
He was a self-employed woodsman for many years.
Later, he worked at the Flakeboard until his
retirement.
Glenn loved all his children, grandchildren and
great-grandchildren, fostering some along the way. He
enjoyed each and everyone of them in their own special way.
He was a hard-working man who provided them with care and
understanding with guidance and much love. Glenn was like a
guardian angel up until his last few days. Glenn was loved
by all.
He deeply enjoyed his music. Driving in the car,
humming a tune, song or a diddy. Often speaking of the many
people that he has met along his travels. Also, talking
about the good ole days and the stories he had to tell. He
enjoyed life to the fullest.
Glenn loved playing and singing music with his friends at
Lincourt Manor, Bayside Hall, St Stephen Legion and the hospital to
people who needed music for their soul. Bringing happiness
to them and brightening their day just to see the smile on their
face. Glenn would always help his neighbours when he
could.
He will be sadly missed by his sons; Ronald (June) and Gerald
(Diane), daughter; Donna (Ed) Rayner, grandchildren; Ron and Jamie
(Samantha) Kinney great-grandchildren; Zach, Nate and Piper, several
grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and
cousins.
In addition to his parents, Glenn was predeceased by his
loving wife Viola, two daughters; Dorothy and Lorraine.
A graveside service will be held at the Moores Mills
Cemetery, Moores Mills, NB, which will be announced at a
later date.
Thank you all for the care that was provided by all the
doctors, nursing staff at the Charlotte County Hospital and
Extra Mural nurses. Staff on first floor of CCH, for the
comfort and care provided.
Donations in Glenn’s memory can be made to the
Charlotte County Hospital Foundation, Charlotte County Hospital
Palliative Care or a charity of one’s choice.
