Obituary of Gary Davis
Gary Davis, son of Gladys and Samuel Davis, passed away August 10, 2025 at the SJRH with his loving wife Lana at his side.
Gary loved his family, friends, and his conversations with them. He delighted in discussing math problems, scholars of many dimensions, and the power of connectivity and community. He engaged in these with true pleasure.
Gary was a Professor of Business Administration at UNBSJ and worked on various strategic planning committees for the city of Saint John. He supported and promoted arts organizations and was always interested in improving things for the benefit of all.
He is mourned by his loving family, and the family he loved: his wife Lana, sons Nathan (Candace), Anthony (Amy), Gregory (Heather) and his 7 grandchildren of whom he was so proud, Eliana, Jadon, Samuel, Abigail, Harry, Clara, and Millicent. Gary cherished his lifelong bond with his family: his brothers Roy (Ziva), Jan (Amy), and Alan (Carolyn) whom he treasured dearly; his nieces and a predeceased nephew; and his many cousins and friends.
In lieu of flowers please direct your support towards the Gladys and Samuel Davis Fund at the Greater Saint John Community Foundation or the Saint John Regional Hospital Foundation.
