It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of our beloved Mother and Grandmother at the age of 75. She passed away peacefully at Golden Heights Manor with her family by her side.
Elsie is predeceased by her husband Richard Ricketts, son David Ricketts, parents Clarence and Alma Head, parents-in-law David and Catherine Ricketts, son-in-law Glen Ryan, brothers Gregory and Clarence, sisters Mary, Ann, Theresa, Kay, and Amelia.
Left to mourn with beautiful memories are her daughters Alice and Shirley (Will), sons Philip (Karen) and Terry (Tracey), brothers Robert and Richard (Bev), sisters Margaret (Joe) and Beth (Sid), grandchildren Stacey, Victoria, Tiffany, Shawn, Taylor, and Selwyn, great-grandchildren Caden, Colden, Cassidy, Jax, Colin, Harrison, and Ethan; as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Elsie will be remembered for her love of Bingo and cards. As well as listening to the Saturday Night Cabin Party with a glass of pepsi and smoke in hand. She will also be remembered for her kind and giving heart, she would give away her last cent to help anyone in need.
Mom, you will be forever missed. Fly high with dad and the angels. We love you.
We would like to thank the staff at the Golden Heights Manor who cared for our mother over last 5 years.
Following her wishes, cremation has taken place. Visitation will take place at the St. Peter’s and Paul’s Church in Kings Cove on Friday, January 31 from 2-9 pm, the wake service will be at 7:30 pm. Funeral mass will take place at a later date.
