It is with the heaviest of hearts that I have to announce the passing of the love of my life, Ed Churchill.
For those of you who knew Ed, he was a generous and kind man who loved life. He enjoyed many activities over the years, Camping, fishing, hunting, golf, and most of all spending time with his wife of 44 years, Karen, and his two sons Chris and Ryan, who were his proudest achievement in his life.
With the addition of his two grandchildren, this brought him unlimited pride and joy.
Ed spent many enjoyable camping trips and family gatherings and will be remembered always for his sense of humor and ability to make people laugh. After moving around the Southern Interior in the 1980’s as a 7-11 store manager, he finally returned to Cranbrook. He worked for 13 years at Acklands Grainger, and then went on to continue in the same line of work for the next 15 years for Lordco Auto Parts.
After suffering a life changing stroke in 2018, he made the most of a bad situation until he could no longer manage. He passed away peacefully at home with his wife by his side.
He will be forever remembered in the hearts of all those who loved him.
Ed is survived by his wife Karen, sons Christopher (Cherie), Ryan (Jamee), and his 2 grandchildren Cadence and Carsten.
He is also survived by his mother Ellen (John) Malberg, sister Helen (Frank)Phillips, brothers Fred (Janice) Churchill Neil (Janice) Churchill, father-in-law Robert (Lorraine) Campsall, sisters and brothers-in-law Kathi (Wayne) Shaw, Christine (Brian) Buttrey, Ken (Linnie) Campsall, Cindy (Collin) Gilbert, Robert (Tamara) Campsall, and by Many Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, and Nephews.
Ed was predeceased by his dad Lionel Churchill, and his mother-in-law Cara-lee Campsall.
There will be no funeral as requested by Ed.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of your choice.
