In Loving Memory of Editha Gamazon Paclibar
July 15, 1951 – February 20, 2025
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Editha Gamazon Paclibar, who left us on February 20th 2025, at the age of 73. She passed peacefully at Markham Stouffville Hospital in the presence of all her family, after courageously facing decades of health complications.
Editha was born on July 15, 1951, in Aparri, Cagayan, Philippines, to the late Bernardo and Maria Gamazon. She moved to Canada in July 1981, where she built a life filled with love, kindness and generosity, touching the hearts of all who knew her.
For 49 years, Editha was the devoted wife to Jesus Paclibar, with whom she shared a life of love and unwavering support. She leaves behind her stepdaughter Cindy(husband Jeffrey), and step-grandchildren Amber and Sebastian.
She was also a cherished aunt to many nieces and nephews, whom she loved dearly.
Editha was the eldest daughter in her family and a guiding light to her siblings. She is survived by Reynaldo Gamazon(wife Miriam), Erlinda Dumlao(and family), Rolando Gamazon(wife Edna), Wilfredo Gamazon(wife Corazon), Jerry Gamazon (wife Josephine).
She now joins her beloved brothers, Wilbert Gamazon (wife Melina) and Joeffrey Gamazon, in eternal peace.
Editha had a smile that could light up any room and a laugh that carried far and wide. Her generosity knew no bounds—she dedicated much of her life to helping family, supporting loved ones overseas, and assisting relatives in migrating to Canada. She was the heart of our family, always putting others before herself and never hesitating to offer help to those in need.

Funeral service will begin at 12:00 PM, followed by the burial at Christ The King Catholic Cemetery (7770 Steeles Ave E, Markham, ON L6B 1A8). Reception to follow.
For those who are unable to attend in person, a live stream will be available on Friday February 28th 2025 starting at 10:00 AM for family and friends around the world who would like to say goodbye to Editha one last time. Editha’s kindness, love, and selflessness will forever be remembered. She leaves behind a legacy of compassion, generosity, and unwavering devotion to family. Though she is no longer with us, her light will continue to shine in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.
May she rest in eternal peace.
