SAINTE-ANNE-DE-KENT, NB – It is with great sadness
that the family announces the passing of Edgar « Buckwheat »
Robichaud, who passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family
at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre on Tuesday,
February 25th, 2025, at the age of 54. Born in
Sainte-Anne-de-Kent, on April 16th, 1970, he
was the son of the late Vincent Robichaud and Marie
Thérèse Robichaud.
He worked for 28 years at Laurentide Richibucto and spent his
last 13 years at Southeast Aquaculture Sud-Est. He was passionate
about hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, and taking drives with his wife,
Jackie.
Edgar « Buckwheat » will be sadly missed by his
loving wife, Jackie Collette of Richibucto; his two sons, Samuel
Robichaud and Sébastien Robichaud – both of
Richibucto; his mother, Marie Thérèse Robichaud;
as well as by many nieces and nephews, Michelle Landry (Evan), Jeremie
Johnson (Cristal), Brittney Robichaud (Antoni), Madison, Alexia,
Lexie, Connor and Carina Cormier.
He is also survived by two sisters, Roseline Johnson (Mike)
of Richibucto and Doris Robichaud (Charles) of Aldouane; two
sisters-in-law, Jeannine Allain (Jean-Marie) and Lisa Poirier (Ricky)
of Bouctouche; and one brother-in-law, Roger Collette Jr of
Richibucto.
A heartfelt thank you goes to his best friend, Charles
à Rita LeBlanc, for unwavering support throughout the
entire battle.
The family would also like to thank the specialists, doctors,
and nurses from the CHU Dumont and Stella-Maris-de-Kent hospitals and
the Extramural Team, particularly Isabelle, for their care for
Edgar.
As per Edgar’s wishes, there will be no visitation.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, March
13th, 2025, at 4:30 PM at the
Saint-Louis-de-Gonzague R.C. Church, Richibucto.
Arrangements are in the professional care of Thompson Funeral
