Edesse’s Obituary
BOUDREAU, Edesse Marie – Age 90 of Concession, formerly of Mavillette passed away at home on Sunday, March 2, 2025 very peacefully surrounded by family and friends following a long battle with Dementia. Born in Salmon River, she was a daughter of the late Elizée and Augusta (Brown) Deveau.
In her earlier years, Edesse worked as a telephone operator. She was well known for her beautiful quilts which were always hand-stitched. You could find Edesse cooking in the kitchen from morning to night which was another passion of hers.
She is survived by her daughter, Christine (Brian) Amirault, Concession; granddaughters, Erin and Kyla; sister, Lorette (Harvey) Doucette, Woodvale.
She was predeceased by her loving husband of 65 years, Alfred; brothers, Adolphe, Bernard, Raymond, Emilier, Louis and Richard; sisters, Rita, Elizabeth and Blanche.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Meteghan Funeral Home where visitations will be held on Friday, March 7th from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A funeral mass will take place in St. Alphonse Church on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Hospice Akoffodji officiating followed by burial in the parish cemetery.
The family is grateful to Brenda and her Tender Touch private care team; especially Joelene, Sue, Tammy, Janique, Marlene, Lisa and Lori, as well as to Anne-Marie. They are particularly thankful to Joelene, Sue, Lori, Tammy and Marlene who were by Edesse’s side in her final days/nights.
