Anne Dora Muise
March 13, 1944 – December 27, 2024
Anne Dora Muise – age 80. On Friday, December 27th, 2024, at her home in Belleville, surrounded by her entire loving family, Dora lost her short battle with cancer, leaving her family heartbroken. Dora was born on March 13th, 1944, in Quinan. She was the daughter of the late Willie and Arthenise (Muise) Jacquard. She was a devoted wife, loving mother of 4 daughters and an adoring grandmother of 9 grandchildren.
Dora married her soulmate, the late Arthur Muise, on June 13, 1964. Their life together was a beautiful testament of love and partnership. Together, they built a family rooted in faith, laughter and unconditional support. Her children and grandchildren were her greatest joy, and she treasured every moment spent with them. She had an extraordinary ability to make each of her 9 grandchildren feel special, whether through her warm hugs, wise words, or an endless supply of freshly baked treats. She taught them to play cards and took no mercy on them when it came to winning and cheating.
Dora was known for her love of BINGO, where she made many friends. She also spent years volunteering for her parish as well as other community organizations. Her outstanding qualities were her generosity, her strength and her quick wit. She had the ability to lift spirits with her words and her presence. She was a gifted baker and cook who brought people together around her table, filling hearts as much as stomachs.
She is survived by her 4 daughters: Karen Hubbard (Paul), Patty Merchant (Hank), Nicole Albright (Harold) and Connie Muise (fiancé Merrick Goreham). She leaves behind the lights of her life, her 9 grandchildren: Jeremy Hubbard, Ryan Hubbard, Jacob Hubbard, Amber Muise, Autumn Muise, Caleb Sherman, Kaylie Albright, Mackenzie Albright, and Isaac Albright, as well as their partners. She also leaves behind her siblings, Kenneth Jacquard, Jeannette Frotten, Eileen Frotten, Rose Anne Jacquard, Jane Jacquard, and several nieces and nephews.
Dora was predeceased by her husband of 44 years, Arthur Muise, a loss she never stopped grieving, as well as her parents and sister Anna McBride. Her love and legacy will remain forever in the hearts of those she held dear. She was a guiding light in the lives of all who knew her.
The family wishes to thank Dr. Loveridge, Dr. Cooper and Dr. Howlett for their kind and compassionate care. We would also like to thank Connie Muise, her youngest daughter, our sister, for the excellent care given to our beautiful Mom in the last month of her life.
Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Huskilson’s Funeral Home in Yarmouth. Cremation has taken place and a visitation will be held on Thursday, January 2nd, 2025 from 6 – 8 p.m. with prayers at 7 p.m. in Huskilson’s Funeral Home, Yarmouth. A funeral mass will be held Friday, Jan. 3rd, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. in Ste-Anne Catholic Church in Ste-Anne-du-Ruisseau with Father Cyrille Assihou officiating. Dora has requested there be no flowers, however the family kindly requests donations to the Gilles Boudreau and Friends Cancer Help Fund.
