Debbie Crane
Whitney Pier
We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of our beloved sister, mother, aunt and friend, Debbie, who left us on Sunday, February 16, 2025, in the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney, surrounded by her loving family.
Born March 3, 1962, in Sydney, she was a daughter of the late George and Sue (Lefrense) Crane.
Debbie touched the lives of many with her kindness, warmth, and infectious spirit. She was a beacon of love and support for her family and friends, always ready with a listening ear or a helping hand. Her laughter and joy for life will be profoundly missed.
Debbie is survived by her son, Justin; siblings, Sue (Donnie), Ruth (Philip), Darlene (Kerry) and Blair (Lori); and many cherished nieces and nephews. She shared a special bond with her great-niece, Saroise, who she loved dearly. Debbie also had a close connection with her Uncle Johnny and Aunt Doris, who provided unwavering support during her life.
She was predeceased by her brother David.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to the Renal Department at Cape Breton Regional Hospital for their care over the years and to the staff in the ICU for their kindness during her short stay.
Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Sydney Memorial Chapel. A funeral service will be held in St. Alban’s Anglican Church, Whitney Pier on Saturday, February 22nd at 4 p.m. with Rev. Jackie Warren officiating. Interment will take place at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be e-transferred to St. Alban’s Church at stalbans65@gmail.com
