Daniel Robert Potipco, 63, of Peterborough, Ontario, passed away on April 2nd, 2025 following his second battle with cancer. Daniel was born on November 7th, 1961 to Daniel and Dorothy Potipco in Peterborough, Ontario. After Daniel graduated from Kenner CVI in 1980, he went on to study Business at Sir Sandford Fleming College. After graduating with a degree in Business, he started his career in IT with Bell Canada, kickstarting a long career which also saw him spend time at IBM and Kyndryl Canada. In 1979, Daniel met Patricia at Kenner CVI. Daniel and Patricia married on February 2nd, 1985. They went on to have two children, Sara and Eric. As Daniel neared retirement, he enjoyed attending activities revolving around his grandchildren, the apples of his eyes, Carter, Chloe, Amelia and Nathan. Daniel is survived by his wife Patricia, daughter Sara (husband Christian, children Amelia and Nathan), son Eric (wife Diondra, children Carter and Chloe), brother Frank (wife Cecilia, children Dante, Dennis and Frankie), sister Dianne (husband Phil, children Chris and Jason), brother Gary (wife Holly, children Melinda, Cassandra, Trevor and Ashley), brother-in-law Matt ((Patti deceased), and children Jackie, Katrina and Dianne), sister Darlene (husband Barry, children Jon, Scott and Rebecca) and brother Douglas. Daniel was a beloved member of his family and community. He made an impact on numerous peoples’ lives. Special thank you to Daniel’s family doctor, Dr. Mathew Moore, Dr. Becca Webster and nurses as Hospice Peterborough, and the Palliative Care staff at PRHC for guiding and comforting him and his family during the final stages of his journey. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Ashburnham Funeral home, 840 Armour Road Peterborough on April 12th, 2025 from 2:00-4:00pm.
