It is with profound sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of our beloved father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend, Clifford Brothers, on Saturday, April 26, 2025, at the Health Sciences Centre. He was 64 years old.
Clifford was predeceased by his parents, Arthur and Lucy (nee King) Brothers; his wife, Carol Ann; his mother-in-law, Agnes Keating; his brother, Gerard Brothers; his sister, Monica Brothers; and his brothers-in-law, Tony Keating and Randy Keating.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving sons, Corey Brothers (Delena), Joseph Brothers (Melissa), Noah Brothers, and his loving daughter, Lauren Keating (Ryan). He will be deeply missed by his precious granddaughters, Keira and Rebecca Brothers.
He is survived by his father-in-law, Ronald Keating Sr., his siblings, Gerald Brothers (Beulah), Catherine Keating, Annie Whiffen (Alton), and Patsy Brothers; his siblings-in-law, Dolores Norman (Maurice), Ronald Keating Jr., Darlene Keating, Cindy Griffiths (Brian), Rhonda Burke (Tom), and Deanne Keating (Trevor); along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the nurses, doctors, and staff at the Health Sciences Centre, especially the CCU, for their compassionate care and support during this difficult time.
Clifford was known for his kindness, his gentle, soft-spoken nature, and his warm, welcoming smile. His eyes reflected a deep, unwavering love for those around him. A proud professional, Clifford had a distinguished career in IT, where his strong work ethic and dedication earned him the respect and admiration of his colleagues. He took great pride in his accomplishments and the lifelong friendships he built throughout his career.
Clifford’s sense of humor was infectious. He had a natural gift for bringing laughter and joy to any room he entered. One of his greatest joys was cooking for his family and friends—every meal he prepared was made with love, and every gathering filled him with happiness and pride.
As a father, Clifford was not only a parent but a true friend to his children, always offering guidance, unconditional love, and a helping hand. His legacy of love, humor, and kindness will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
At Clifford’s request, cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 73 Commonwealth Ave., Mount Pearl, on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, from 2:00 to 9:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Clifford’s memory to the Diabetes Association NL.
