1929 – 2025
Charles A. West, (95) of Quispamsis, passed away peacefully at Kings Way Care Centre. Born in Sunny Brae, he was the son of the late Andrew and Madeline (Richardson) West.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Dorothy (Kelly) West (2008).
Charlie was a teacher in New Brunswick schools for 34 years, 29 of these in Moncton. He was a graduate of Moncton High School, New Brunswick Institute of Technology and Université de Moncton. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking and above all, good times with his family.
Charlie will be sadly missed by his three children, Daryl West (Diane) of Ottawa, ON, David West (Shelley) of Grand Prairie, AB and Sandra Quigg (Kevin) of Quispamsis; six grandchildren, Erin (Abed), Sara (Cameron), Samuel (Heather), Reid (Josee), Laura (Alex) and Jeffery (Jessica); 4 great grandchildren, Emma, Zackary, Luke and Madelyn; brothers, Winston of Fredericton, and Leonard of Saint John; several nieces and nephews.
In keeping with Charlie’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. A private family service will be held at Fair Haven Memorial Gardens at a later date.
If desired, donations to a memorial of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
