Loving wife, mother, step mom, nana, grandmother and great grandmother, passed away with family at her side on March 27, 2025.
Barbara is survived by her devoted husband of 35 years, Ralph Sayeau of Spencerville. Loving mother of Eleanor Jonkman (Linda) of Brockville, Albert Jonkman (Debbie) of Brockville, Ginus Jonkman (Tracey) of Brockville, John Jonkman (Jackie) of Rockport. Stepmother of Catherine Miller (Blaine) of Pittston and Douglas Sayeau (Alice) of Johnstown. She was a cherished grandmother to 13 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Barbara also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, friends and relatives.
Predeceased by brothers Raymond Piche (Margaret) of Midland, Charles Piche (Lois) of Maitland, Robert Piche (Catherine who is surviving) of Kemptville and by sisters Eleanor Tutecky (John) of Prescott, Hilda Belleville (Gaston) of Garson and Marion Hobbs Preston (Clifford) of Prescott.
A graveside service will be held at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, 2451 County Rd. 15, Maitland, on Tuesday April 1st, 2025 at 11:00am. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Irvine Memorial Chapel at Roselawn.
Barbara asked that any donations made in her memory be made to the Brockville General Hospital Foundation – Palliative Care or to the Spencerville United Church, and will be gratefully acknowledged.
