Obituary
It is with great sadness at the family of the late Austin Edward Hunt announce his passing at the Stillwaters unit of the Western long-term care on Friday, February 7 2025 at the age of 82 years. He leaves two mourn with fond and loving memories his children; Brenda (Victor), Darren (Lori Lynn) and Austin Jr. (Margaret). His grandchildren; Tyler, Shane and Brady. Brother; Foster Hunt. Brother-in-law; Donald (Pauline) White. Sisters-in-law; Diane Hunt and Barbara (Ken) Mcdonell also Ralph Burn who was a long time close friend to Austin as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews all relatives and numerous friends.
Austin was predeceased by his beloved wife Lorna in 2019. Daughter; Theresa. Parents; George and Alice Hunt. Brother; Weldon, Hunt. Mother and father-in-law; Rita and Henry White.
There will be a visitation at Country Haven Funeral Home 167 Country Road on Sunday, February 9 2025 from the hours of 7 to 9 PM from where the funeral service will take place on Monday, February 10, 2025 at 2 PM at Country Haven Funeral Home chapel with Reverend Terry Loder officiating with Internment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy flowers and or memorial donations may be made to the heart and stroke foundation. The family would like to send a sincere thank you to doctors, nurses and staff of the Bay St. George senior citizen Home and Stephenville Crossing as well as the doctors, nurses and staff of Stillwaters unit of Corner Brook long-term care for their care and compassion during Austin‘s stay.
