It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Tony Pelle on March 22, 2025 at the age of 66 after a courageous battle with cancer. Tony was many things to many people. Above all, he will be remembered as a loving and devoted husband to Anna (nee Pupatello), with whom he shared 43 years of cherished memories. He was also a dedicated father to Andrea (Dan Frezell) and Vince (Nicole Landry), an adoring Nonno to Preston, Vienna, and Zachary and valued Engineering Manager at B&B Tool and Mould Ltd.
Tony was predeceased by his parents Laura (nee Sollazzo) and Vincenzo Pelle with whom he is reunited in a better place. He was the cherished son-in-law to Sam and Josephine Pupatello, who also predeceased him. The youngest sibling, Tony was a caring and loving brother to Mary (Bruno Sollazzo) and Dominic (Judi Wehby) and a special brother-in-law to Tony and Cathy Pupatello, Mary (2008) and Danny Solan. Tony was a proud and caring uncle to many nieces and nephews and their children.
Tony dedicated 45 years to B&B Tool and Mould where he deeply enjoyed his time with colleagues and being challenged to problem-solve complex tasks. He was an integral part of the operations working his way from tool designer to head of engineering eventually overseeing the entire plant. Our family remains beyond thankful for the friendship and support offered by both Matt Binder Sr. (2004) and Matthew Binder Jr. during his years with the company.
Tony was an avid golfer, having been a member at Pointe West Golf Club and at Es Golf and Country Club where he was a member at the time of his passing. Affectionately known as “Pelle”, Tony made many special friendships through golf and will be remembered for accomplishing the impressive feat of having had four hole-in-ones during his time on the links. Tony also loved the game of hockey which he played weekly into his sixties and later became a proud Nonno watching his grandchildren skate and play the game he loved.
Another passion of Tony’s was his beloved guitar. Every morning, Tony would start his day with his guitar in his hand filling the air with familiar snippets of his favourite rock songs. He shared his love of music through this simple daily ritual which soon became the soundtrack to our lives.
A passionate traveller, Tony had the chance to take many memorable trips, including deep-sea fishing in Key West, golfing Pebble Beach, attending the Ryder Cup in Rome and many memorable trips with Anna, his children and grandchildren to Boyne Mountain. The memories of Tony’s joy and laughter while seeing the world with his loved ones will never be forgotten.
More than anything, Tony enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. His loyalty to his family was fierce and he made a point to always surround himself with his loved ones. Whether gathered around the dinner table, celebrating milestones or simply sharing stories, he found his greatest happiness in his family.
Special thanks to Windsor Regional Cancer Centre, Dr. Schneider, Dr. Kulkarni and Dr. Cassidy who cared for Tony with such compassion and skill. We will forever be grateful for your dedication and drive to provide Tony with the utmost care. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Jacqueline Malette and Dr. Nicole Freeman. Your kindness, urgency and unwavering support brought us comfort during the most difficult times, and we will always be grateful for your commitment and empathy.
If you so desire, donations to the Windsor Cancer Centre Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
Visitation will be held on Thursday March 27, 2025 from 2-5pm & 7-9pm. Funeral Service Friday March 28, 2025 at 11am at FAMILIES FIRST 3260 Dougall Ave., South Windsor. (519) 969-5841. Entombment Heavenly Rest Cemetery.
