It is with heavy hearts, we announce the passing of a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother, on Saturday February 22 at his home. Cherished husband of 46 years to Maria. Loving father to Matthew (Terra) and Jennifer (R.J.). Treasured grandfather to Lydia, Emily, Carson, and Brodie. Predeceased in death by parents Manuel and Emilia Moreira and father-in-law Manuel Luis. Forever loved by his mother-in-law, Maria, his siblings, and in laws; Maria (Tony), Manuel (Aldina), Joe (Celeste), John (Alice), Rosa, Louie (Isabel), Lucy (Carlos), Dennis (Michelle). He will also be deeply missed by many nieces, nephews, neighbours, and friends.
Antonio courageously fought for over 4 years, demonstrating immense strength. He was supported by many along the way, especially CMH medical daycare, Princess Margaret Hospital, his favourite nurses – Carla, Deana, Benedetta (Paramed). To everyone who played a part in making his journey easier, we are endlessly grateful.
Resting at Corbett Funeral Home, 95 Dundas St., Cambridge, where family and friends will be received on Wednesday February 26, 2025, from 6-9p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Clement’s Roman Catholic Church, 745 Duke Street, Cambridge, Ontario, N3H 3T7 on Thursday February 27, 2025, at 10:30a.m. Interment will follow at Parklawn Cemetery.
