Young-Pearl – 69, of Kentville, passed away peacefully,
surrounded by her family on Friday, January 10, 2025. Born in
Kentville, she was the daughter of the late Dr. W. Harris and Barbara
(Smith) Young. Andrea grew up in Kentville and was a graduate of Kings
County Academy (on the hill) and later attended Acadia University,
where she received her Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Education
degrees. She taught at Central Kings Rural High School for her entire
career. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and will be sadly
missed by all who knew and loved her. She especially loved her family
and spending time at Murphy Lake. She also enjoyed music and was a
sports enthusiast. Andrea is survived by her husband, Stephen; sons,
Matthew « Matt » (Kelly), McGee Lake and Ryan (Nikki),
Kentville; grandchildren, Jaeda, Carsen, Cohen, Peyden and Harper; a
brother, William « Bill » (Lynn) Young, Kentville; nieces,
nephews, extended family and friends. Cremation has taken place and
there will be no visitation by request. A celebration of
Andrea’s life and reception (with a video webcast) will be
held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 17, 2025 in the White Family
Funeral Home, Kentville. Donations in memory may be made to the
Canadian Cancer Society. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to
the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville. For
