It is with
heavy heart that the Doiron family inform you of the passing of our
beloved sister Adele Patricia Doiron. She was born in Antigonish Nova
Scotia on April 16, 1958, to the late Leo and Maureen (Cunningham)
Doiron.
Adele grew up
on Highland Drive, Antigonish with a family of 5 siblings, and amongst
wonderful neighbors and friends. She had an impish grin, good sense of
humor and was fun loving and kind hearted. She had gifts to share,
even through her trials and tribulations. She loved baking, knitting
and had a green thumb.
Adele attended
Antigonish Regional High school until grade 11. Due to her high
academics, she was attended St Francis Xavier University early to
obtain credits towards a Bachelor of Arts degree. She was smart and
excelled in her studies. She lived in High Prairie and Calgary,
Alberta for a few years, and settled in Dartmouth, N.S. with her
daughter, while working at Bedford Institute of Oceanography as an
Administrative Assistant. She was proud of her achievements
including working as a clerk for the G7 Summit and meeting diplomats
from around the world. Adele moved to Milford, New Hampshire briefly
then returned to her roots in Antigonish, N.S. Adele loved
her French Acadian heritage. Her favorite times were at the family
cottage, hanging out at the beach in
Bayfield.
Adele is
survived by her daughter Danielle, her brothers Linus ( Stacey), Paul
( Ruth), and Daniel, her sisters Melanie ( Richard Fitzpatrick),
Denyse ( Steve) Kyle, Aunt Virginia ( Kevin) Byrne, and neices and
nephews. She was predeceased by her parents Maureen ( Cunningham) and
Leo Doiron and nephew Nathaniel Doiron.
Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of
Life will follow in the Spring 2025.
