Obituary of Marlene Ann Pelletier
Pelletier: Marlene Ann (née Dye) –
June 25, 1935 – July 6, 2025
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, Marlene Pelletier who passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her children at the age of 90.
Marlene lived life on her own terms. She was a dedicated and loving mother and grandmother and will be remembered for her kind heart and gentle nature.
She was a great cook and talented card player. She loved Sundays playing euchre, rummoli, cribbage and backgammon. If she couldn’t find a partner, she would find a grandchild.
Predeceased by her loving spouse of 39 years, Jim A. Brown (2009). Marlene and Jim built a life together, enjoying travelling across Canada and the USA.
Marlene was the daughter of the late William and Gladys (née LaMarsh) Dye.
She leaves behind her loving brother Robert « Bob » Dye (Noreen, 2013). Predeceased by her brother William « Bill » Dye (2013).
Cherished mother of Lori Scaman (2023), Lynda Beemer (Bob, 2016), Liane Labadie (2021), Cheryl Gibson (Brad, 2024), Scott Pelletier (Wendy) and Karen Brown (Renee). Mother-in-law to Gary Labadie and Barry Scaman.
Proud Grandma to Stacey, Jason, Jerry, Jeff, Amanda, Bradley, Brooke, James, Sarah, Matthew, Ian, Tryphena, Tarea, Jared and many great-grandchildren. Predeceased by grandsons Jeremy and Jordan and great-grandson Rowan.
Marlene will be missed by very special friends Delores and Stuart Pugh and Ilene Brown.
As per Marlene’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Saturday, July 12, 2025 from 10:00am until the Celebration of her life at 11:00am. Interment to follow at Maple Leaf Cemetery, Chatham.
