Ronna Louise Tradewell (nee Burnett) passed away peacefully on February 14, 2025, at the age of 78. Born on September 18, 1946, in Victoria, BC, Ronna was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Ronna is survived by her devoted husband, Ernie, her loving daughters, Miranda (Sean) and Kelly (Michael), her cherished grandchildren, Xavier, Daphne, and Violet, and her brother, Brian (Rosemary). She is predeceased by her parents, William and Stella Burnett, whom she deeply missed.
Ronna’s creative spirit was a defining feature of her life. She had a passion for sewing, scrapbooking, needlework, and music; her family home is filled with the beautiful projects she completed. Many of her creations were heartfelt gifts for her family, reflecting the deep love and care she had for them. In addition to her artistic endeavors, Ronna was an avid genealogist. She meticulously traced her family tree, connecting with relatives across the globe and preserving their shared history for future generations. Ronna also found a second family in her church community, with whom she shared her love through her creativity. Despite facing significant health challenges, including multiple cancer diagnoses, Ronna remained resilient and continued to pursue her passions with unwavering determination.
Ronna’s legacy of love, creativity, and perseverance will live on in the hearts of her family and friends. She will be remembered for her kindness, devotion, and the beautiful memories she created for those she loved. Ronna wished to have a party to celebrate her life, which will be held in the summer; updates will be posted online. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the BC Cancer Society.
